This second volume of "The Faerie Universe of Olivier Ledroit" is a fitting follow-up to the first, with beautiful watercolors and detailed pencil drawings, such as the superb central drawing that opens up--over two gatefolds--to a scene with no less than 50 characters! This volume takes a different view of the faerie world, a more tongue-in-cheek view of mischievous, mysterious, even decadent, magical creatures. Faeries of drink, Goth fairies, a vampire dandy, etc. The text is in French.
"Olivier Ledroit is the artist of the "Chronicles of the Moon Black" published at Dargaud. This series opened the way for a new genre in the Nineties, and Ledroit is recognized today as the leader of the Goth genre. Also draughtsman of "Xoco", "Sha" and "Requiem" with Pat Mills (scenario writer of "Dredd Judge") Olivier Ledroit reveals with "the Féerique Universe" a new facet of his talent in collaboration with writers Laurent and Olivier Souillé."

"Mickey Spoon is short, Donald White is tall. One is low-life, the other haughty ... Spoon is a fan of Clint Eastwood and collects Disney toys. White is convinced he's descended from the Pilgrim Fathers. They're both cops, the only white cops in a black police station. They work together, hate each other and are both in love with the well-stacked BNN reporter Courtney Balconi. But if their love for her unites them in their adversity, it divides them on the job, as they're always trying to win her heart to the detriment of all the cases they're given. A series that's full of gags, wordplay, pretty girls, with a good dose of second degree humor and a very ironic take on the USA."
