Robin’s style is modified Don Bluth (think Dragon’s Lair). Numerous sci-fi and warrior girls and a trio of Playboy-style cartoons, as well as pin-up girls, animals, and fantasy creatures. Sho Murase. KAKURETENSHI. 2007. 1st. 5.5x8.5, 36pp, color, wraps. VF. Sho Murase of Maverix Studios is the artist on the popular Nancy Drew graphic novel series. A nicely designed booklet of finished color artwork (often accompanied by the line artwork) and character/creature designs. Some of Sho’s stuff reminds me of Steranko and Tim Sale.
