Robh is a wonderful painter-illustrator-art director who's worked in visual development at Disney and teaches at Art Center. This is his first book collecting his fantastic digital paintings. There are two large sections: Imagined Worlds and Real Worlds. And two short sections: Oil Paintings and iPhone Sketches. Each piece has Robh's comments about technique, composition, and choices.

The figure comes in a lovely cardboard & tin can with a window. The Maile hula girl in a red dress and perched on a pineapple is a perfect desk accessory or gift. From the artist - "Maile was inspired by the many trips I've taken to Hawaii. May her warm smile bring a little bit of aloha to you - because you and I don't live there and we probably live someplace cold and rainy with too many cars and maybe even ice and trolls who throw frozen apples at us while we wait for the school bus. She is the first in a series of vinyls based on my drawings."

Tony is an incredible artist from Mexico and now living in Barcelona creating graphic novels for a Swiss publisher of bande dessinée (Cadavre et la Sofa, Gris). This is a collection of drawings and sketches from the last few years, some pencils, some inks, and some watercolors. Beautiful imaginative work. Filled with Sandoval's young girls, creatures, and endless variations on the vagina dentata theme.

Alex is the writer and artist of Robotika published by Archaia Studios Press. This book is filled primarily with lush inked pieces. His style is reminiscent of Steranko, Starlin, and Gulacy, but much of his subject matter is 19th century heroic fantasy and horror. One of 150 numbered copies signed by the artist. This latest offering from the Belgian fan association is a fantastic sketchbook by Belgian illustrator and bande dessinée artist Al Severin. Page after page of Severin sketch pages; faces, clothed and unclothed figures, horses, retro futuristic cars and planes, cartoon bears, calligraphy, all put on paper with enormous joie de vivre! Beautifully printed, capturing all the nuances of Severin's pencils. Included in the book are two tipped-in color plates and 4 loose plates (an 8.25” x 11.75" color print, an 8" x 10.5" color print, 6.75" x 8.5" black & white print, and a 3" x 4.25" black & white print, all on nice card stock; and a 4.5" x 6" color print on thin stock).
